I made a few things with my Sculpey Clay Sunday night so you will be seeing several posts of ornaments, pins, and embellishments over the next few days! I'm going to add pin backs to the turkey and pilgrims and use them on name cards for Thanksgiving (either that or I'll use them as embellishments for napkin rings). I'm making the kitty into a pin and giving it to my "baby" who is turning 5 on Friday! I'm not sure what I'll do with the leaves. Maybe I'll add them to the autumn frame that I made the other day.Labels: Charcoal Leaves, embellishments, fall, Family Food Friends, foliage, pins, Playful Kitties, rubber stamps, sculpey clay, Thanksgiving, the angel company
I picked up a plain frame at my local dollar store a while ago and figured it was time to see what I could do with it. I stamped the frame using Burnt Sienna ink and colored in the leaves with my Copic Markers. After I did that I wanted to add the "Fantastic Fall" sentiment to the frame, but it didn't show up very well because of the design. I decided to stamp the sentiment onto clear acetate and then I very carefully heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I trimmed around the sentiment and then stuck it on top of my "mistake." It's a bit crooked, but it's there to stay...lol. I did use a bit of metallic rub on to the frame, but you can't really see it in the photo.Labels: 2008 Fall/Winter Catalog, altered frame, Autum Swirls, Burnt Sienna Palette Ink, dollar store finds, fall, Penelope and Sydney Ribbon, rubber stamps, the angel company

I finally got around to putting labels on the CD Cases for my unmounted sets and when I saw the witch's hat from the For All Seasons stamp set, I knew instantly what I would be doing with it. I used Masking Magic to create a mask (you can also use a post-it note) for the hat after I stamped it. Then I used a stamp positioner to line it up. I had cut my paper a bit too short for the sentiment to fit on it, but I can live with it.Labels: 2008 Fall/Winter Catalog, copic markers, fall, For All Seasons, frog, halloween, Hoppy Everything, Linear Sentiments, Masking Technique, the angel company, Trick or Treaters, unmounted stamps
I combined the SCS Embossed Shimmer Technique Challenge with Heather Scott's Card Sketch and got this as a result. The TLC185 Embossed Shimmer technique was a challenge for me since I didn't have exactly the right stuff. After much trial & error I ended up painting Vegas Gold All-Purpose ink on the back of the acetate over my previous failed attempt. Then I stamped leaves (which you can't really see that well in the scan, but it shows IRL) on the other side of the acetate...then ran it through the Cuttlebug.Labels: 2008 Fall/Winter Catalog, acetate, autumn, Charcoal Leaves, Embossed Shimmer Technique, fall, More Elegant Sentiments, rubber stamps, the angel company, unmounted stamps

I was shopping at Staples and noticed some plastic pencil boxes. I knew instantly what I would be using them for and grabbed a bunch of black ones to make this stamped treat box for halloween. Labels: altered box, cards, fall, gifts, halloween, rubber stamps, the angel company, trick or treat
