Flutter By Scrapbook Layout

I stopped by Splitcoast Stampers and the SBSC190 Scrapbook Sketch Challenge caught my eye. I had to alter it a bit to fit the 8 1/2 x 11 layout size that I use, but it worked out. I still had the Flutter By set out from when I made the Anniversary card so I figured I'd use it on this layout.

Seriously, you should really get this set before it is retired! I use it all the time.

Created with The Angel Company products:

Paper: Amberly Grace Paper Collection
Amberly Grace Cardstock
Rubber Stamp Set: Flutter By

(Note: The phrases are non-TAC stickers. I got the flowers at the dollar store and colored them to match using Copic Markers)

April Showers Scrapbook Page

We've had some unseasonably warm weather here in New England. The kids were anxious to go out when I told them we were doing our school work outside under the sprinkler. It's nice being able to incorporate fun into our lessons!

Ink: Belle Rose, Chartreuse, Noir Palette Inks

Paper: Lilly Anna Paper Collection, Mia's Cottage Cardstock

Pencils: Prismacolor Watercolor Pencils

(NOTE: I used Copic Markers RV32, RV34 for the flower petals)

Craft Chalk Fun

In honor of National Scrapbooking week, I thought I'd try my hand at a scrapbook page. It's been a very long time since I've done any pages. Whenever I'm in my craft room I have my little sidekick along with me. She has her own bin of scraps and (thankfully) her own set of chalks.

I scrap using 8 1/2 x 11 sized pages so I'm always looking for ways to incorporate more photos and journaling onto my pages. This is a one page scrapbook layout. I'm a big fan of hidden journaling.

The Angel Company Stamps & Supplies List:

Stamps: Always Remember, Date Disks

Ink: L'Amore Red Palette Ink

Paper: Miss Moxie Patterned Paper , Miss Moxie Coordinating Cardstock

Punches: Mega Scalloped Circle Punch, 1 1/2" Extra Jumbo Circle Punch, 2" Super Jumbo Circle Punch

Taking Nothing for Granted

My mom died of ovarian cancer many years ago. Last year my sister and I both discovered we had ovarian cysts. We decided to have hysterectomies and prayed that we wouldn't get the dreaded "Big C" diagnosis. We were fortunate that our cysts were benign, but I'll never forget what it felt like like when I thought my life could be cut short. My mind was racing for days wondering what my fate would be and what would happen to my family after I left them. It was a reminder to me of what is truly important in my life -- my family.

This photograph was taken before we went in for surgery. I remember wanting to get a picture of us together before we got any bad news. The sentiment from the More Abundance stamp set seemed fitting for this photograph!

Toodle Loo Baby Book

I've been looking through my bin of things that I've purchased with intentions of creating something from it some day. Well...today is "some day." I've just finished making this baby book from a Sesame Street board book from the dollar store (they came two in a package so I may create another one with a different theme).
There is actually no stamping at all in this book. I used The Angel Company Toodle Loo Paper with coordinating, cardstock, ribbon, and hardware. I also rummaged through my scrapbooking supplies for the buttons, sayings, and additional embellishments.

If you click on the image, you will be directed to another page with a slide show so you can see the whole book.

Supplies:

Toodle Loo Soar With it Paper Collection
Toodle Loo Cardstock
Toodle Loo Ribbon
Toodle Loo Hardware
4x4 board book (or board books sold here)
misc. embellishments
